Giving Up..

She lowers herself to the wet sand and sits, not caring if her robe soaked in the dampness and covered with sand. Sitting and staring off across the water with her chin propping up her chin as her eyes burned again with unshed tears. For once, she was having a good night and all it took was one short conversation that brought her where she would be alone. Her god daughter already left or just disappeared and she'd left Haven with her heart in her throat.

Twice today she'd caused problems and never had any intention..it was okay for them to be nasty to her..her eyes drops down and she starts to unbuckle her boots then redoes them slowly up again with shaky fingers. More and more her heart is telling her to leave this retched city and escape all that hurts her. But where would she go?...Closing her eyes, she sighs heavily and tries to clear her mind before they could spill. She's better off alone..more and more..she finds this better. No more will get mad at her. Nor will she anger anyone else. Just disappear into sweet oblivion.

Lifting a hand up, she rubs at her eyes and then lets her sleeve slide over her face before dropping it to her lap as she stretches her legs out to dig out her collar. She looks at it and works it around her neck, a new tag on it hanging down that she tucks up to hide from prying eyes. Its time to give up and just accept it. She's a loser. She'll always be one. Just like her sire said..a door mat, letting everyone walk over her. She deserves it...she doesnt' belong in the coven. She doesn't belong anywhere..with anyone..she's a loser that doesn't deserve to be happy.

Joah stands off in the distance, watching Nerissa silhouetted against the Toxian sea and sky. She wonders about Nerissa's isolation and anger, thinking over the day's events, Nerissa hissing at Grrbrool in the street, running off toward the seawall. She begins to walk toward her....

Gaze lost on the horizon, the demon appeared totally oblivious of her surroundings. The shadows falling over her face shifting to hide any further the sadness that holds her. The surf washing out the sounds of her crying as Neri sits there on the wet sands. She doesn't seem to realize she's not longer alone
