Anarchy is not the Law

She sat down carefully into the chair and braced herself as it tipped back. Hand resting on the arm as it set into position and she leaned back with a sigh. The darkened room glowed from the monitor, the screen holding the latest reports brought to her. Head almost dropping back, she let out another quiet sigh, more of exhaustion as she run her tiny hands over her expanded belly, her black tee shirt was stretched to its limits since the police force had nothing to fit her swollen body. Absently, her talon traced lazily over a bump she feel and it shifted, then twisted within to cause her breath to catch. Neri grips the chair's arm this time until the movement stopped and she could relax once more. " Soon?..Yes? Soon?" She whispers into the room as she just lets her hand rest there this time while a curl of red tumbles across her forehead as her hair is sturred by a breeze that come through the station.

Nerissa glances around the empty station and finally reaches up to unfasten her badge to toss on the desk before her with a small frown. She volunteered for this job. To help out. And the end results were not proving to be well at all. All the things that had kept her so busy for the past week had left her close to wanting to go into a frenzy and slit throats open and blow holes in those that kept coming at them. Lead detective? What were they thinking the day they put her in place to investigate things. Just because she's good at listening? Because she knew the right things to say and ask? Now..it was all blowing up around them.

She still thinks about the execution. Did it even happen? She was so busy trying to keep the Perigord out, the stragglers that come to try and stop it. Never mind he blew tons of laws. Never mind he threatened them. Backstabbed them. Ghostly had her so angry when she was trying to talk to the other lycan and she never even told father about Kenji's attempt to stun her with electricity when she was taking the cuffs off. Any good it did though. She managed to just absorb it like nothing and further weaken him by continuing it until there was an overwhelming hunger to just suck all the Luna's gift from the training shaman's body.

So many attempts. She ended up drawing a gun in the end when they broken in while Ghostly was being put down. And she was so relieved when they finally left. Thinking she could just return back inside and sit. Wait. The explosion left her utterly stupified as the whole station shook and ran down to a room filled with dust debris and smoke.

"What happened?!" She looks around, seeing no huge ass wolf around and looks back at Vulcan while the Death Angel growled somewhere behind her in response to the sound.

"It was a trap. Another one of Acid's bombs were placed. Hidden in the fan." He shook the dust out of his long black hair and Neri stared at her father in disbelief as he continues talking, "...went off in the middle of the exection...Ghostly's escaped. Again."

She's still miffed later when she hears what father tells his brother and sister about their pack brother. To her he says he escaped..to them he was killed. Now, she's left lost. They are attacked countlessly from the other Perigord's when they had the okay from their own leaders....

Closing the inhumanly bright blue eyes, she rests and tries to just push it all out of her mind while her father goes to take care of things and leaves her inside the police station until she'd rested enough. In the end, exhaustion finally gets her and Neri's falling asleep in the chair...
